It was good to meet up with the Barclays regional team at the Royston Branch last week. The new disabled works mean that there is now good access to the Branch. Irene East, Head of Regional Corporate Affairs introduced me to a range of staff from Branch and Region. I was glad to hear that mortgage lending is improving and was able to hear some examples of good business successes resulting from the Bank’s services.
I feel that Barclays took a more cautious line than some other banks prior to the recession and it is good to know that they are now looking forward.
