Victory for Autism today

Today I am delighted that Cheryl Gillan’s Austism Bill won the vote in the Commons and will now go forward to the committee stage despite the Government opposing it. This is a victory for all those campaigning for a better deal for people with autism. This Bill will bring hope to the thousands of people’s lives affected by autism; well done Cheryl.

It has taken almost a year for our child to receieve help with his Autism. Bungling Doctors didn’t make this any easier either. They lost referral letters (twice)and the time taken for appointments to take place is, simply, ridiculous! Thankfully there are some great support people in the North Hertfordshire region and they are the real heroes!
It would be interesting to know, if the Autism Bill has been fully implemented…?
